Girls Craft Story: Fashion Game App Review

What is this game?

We figure that honesty is important in a review, so we’re just going to be upfront here. This game is essentially Minecraft, but with a focus on fashion and talking to people. That may sound blunt or even a bit rude, but one look at the game and you’ll likely agree with us. With block graphics, a familiar crafting system, and the same block by block building setup that most everyone is probably used to by now, this game looks more like a simple mod of Minecraft than its own game. And yet, it is. It’s difficult to pin down what this game is, but we’re still gonna try.

Should you get this game?

It goes without saying that block ‘Minecraft style’ graphics are something you need to be comfortable with if you want to play this game. If you’re the kind of person that needs top quality graphics in order to enjoy a game, then this is not the right call for you. It should also be said that an enjoyment of building, crafting, and designing would greatly increase your enjoyment.

Frankly, you don’t really do much in this game. You can build a house, choose an avatar, and change what you wear, but at the end of the day you don’t actually do much of anything aside from that. Other than feel good about how you look in really pixelated graphics, if that’s your cup of tea. The game has some ads, but if you watch eight of them, you allegedly don’t have to watch them anymore. Several reviews from players have corroborated this, so evidently ads aren’t a huge problem. Of course, the reviews are overwhelmingly positive despite now saying anything of value other than ‘this game is good’ so that’s a little suspect in and of itself.

Ultimately, there just isn’t much to do in this game, which is by far its biggest weakness. There’s just nothing to set it apart from any other game using block graphics; there’s nothing that you can do in it that you couldn’t do in a game like Minecraft or Roblox. This lack of a major offering is what really brings the game down and makes it difficult to recommend.

-You only have to watch a few ads before they are removed

-Game feels like an attempt to cash in on popularity of other games

-Not much in the way of unique activities to do
