Dan the Man App Review
What is Dan the Man?
Dan the Man is a retro styled action platformer with a focus on brawling. Naturally, you play as Dan the Man, a hero with upgradeable skills that allow you to perform new and amusing moves on the field of battle as you embark on an adventure and fight tons of enemies, unlock new skins, and more. It’s a game that harkens back to the old days with its pixel graphics, but it has tons of content in the form of upgrades and skins.
Should you get Dan the Man?
Provided that you enjoy pixel graphics, platformers, and brawling, then Dan the Man really is a good choice for you, as it is just chock-full of fun content. There’s really just a lot to do: weapons and abilities can be upgraded, there are powerful bosses to fight, and lots of skins to unlock that affect your stats. There are multiple characters to unlock (all of which you can customize of course), several modes like endless survival, story, and adventure mode, and daily challenges and tasks to give you something to do every day.
On top of all of that content, the game looks good, sounds good, and has pretty intuitive controls. Frankly, it’s one of the better games on the app store, because it feels like a real game and not a shady cash grab by a developer that just wants your money. There’s real content and real mechanics here that are worth playing. It even has a fun narrative for the story mode.
If one had to say anything but about the game, they could point to the ads that it has. But while it is true that Dan the Man has ads, they aren’t very frequent nor are they all that intrusive. There are certainly much worse offenders out there, and considering how good Dan the Man is as a game you can get for free, it should be understandable to players that the devs have to make money somehow.
-Tons of content; bosses, skins, abilities, weapons, and multiple modes
-Great graphics, cool music, and intuitive controls
-Daily challenges give you something new to do every day
-There are some ads, but they aren’t very bad
